Welcome to the
1^st International Symposium on Fiber Reinforced Shotcrete for Underground Mining (InFUM).

The InFUM brought together all sectors related to the underground mining industry and the research community to share knowledge and practical experience. The symposium was held in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from October 1^st to 4^th, 2023, at the campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).

The 1^st International Symposium on Fiber Reinforced Shotcrete for Underground Mining (InFUM) was held from October 1^st to 4^th at PUC-Rio. The meeting included lectures and a visit to the Structures and Materials Laboratory with leading experts from the international community to discuss and present advancements and innovations in the use of fiber-reinforced shotcrete. One of the partner institutions of InFUM is the American Shotcrete Association, which offered short courses during the event.
